Reviewable AI descriptions One-click WordPress sync Powered by Claude

Accessible and findable images, automatically

AltWiz does the describing so you do not have to. You stay in control of what ships.

01AI alt-text drafts

Claude describes each image. Review the draft for accuracy and how the image is used on the page before publishing it for screen-reader users.

02Search by what is in the photo

Each image is described and tagged, so you find the exact shot in seconds instead of scrolling through filenames.

03One-click WordPress sync

A secure connection writes finished alt text straight into your media library. No copy, no paste, no export files.

04Built for teams

Invite teammates, hand out seats, and control who can approve and publish, all from one workspace.

05Stored securely

Uploads go to encrypted Cloudflare storage, not a shared server. You control what stays and what gets deleted.

06Review before it ships

Approve, edit, or regenerate descriptions before syncing. Optional auto-approve and auto-sync settings let you choose how much of the workflow to automate.

Generate and review alt text in three steps

No plugins to wrestle with and no alt text to write by hand.

01

Upload your images

Drag in a whole shoot or a single photo. JPG, PNG, and WebP all work.

02

Claude describes them

Each image gets accessible alt text and searchable tags, generated automatically in seconds.

03

Review and sync

Approve or tweak, then push to your WordPress media library with one click.

Digital asset management for photographers and website teams

Move from a folder of images to a library your team can search, review and use on a website.

Photographers: organize each shoot

Upload your JPG, PNG or WebP exports and group them into collections for a client or project. Generated tags help you find a shot by its contents when filenames are not enough. Keep your RAW editing and original-file backup in your existing workflow.

Developers: prepare images for WordPress

Review descriptions together, connect your WordPress site, and push the finished image and alt text to its media library. Check the published page afterward: an existing image block or page builder can have its own saved alt text.

Clients: review descriptions in one place

Open an image to check its description and tags before it is used. Correct product names, places and details that AI cannot know from the picture. Collections keep a project together without relying on an email thread to identify the right file.

Agencies: choose a repeatable handoff

Use team seats and approval permissions to divide the work. Keep manual review for projects that need it, then choose whether approved images should sync automatically. Compare the storage, credits and seats included in each plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is AltWiz a plugin?

No. AltWiz is a hosted app at altly.phpdoesntexist.com. You upload images there and sync the finished alt text into your WordPress site, so there is nothing heavy running on your server.

How is the alt text written?

Claude generates a concise description from the image. Check names, visible text and page context, then edit or regenerate the draft. AI alt text is a starting point; it cannot certify a website as accessible.

Can I generate alt text in bulk?

Yes. Upload a batch of images and AltWiz queues the descriptions in the background. Review the results in your library. If a file fails, retry that file; you do not need to upload the whole batch again.

Does AltWiz replace a photographer's editing tools?

AltWiz organizes uploaded images, generates descriptions and helps prepare them for websites. It does not replace RAW processing, retouching or a separate backup of your original shoot.

Do I need a phpDoesntExist account?

Yes, one account signs you in to AltWiz and the rest of phpDoesntExist. You can create it in a few seconds on the way in.

How does pricing work?

AltWiz is credit-based: one credit describes one image. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, so you can try it before you are billed, and plans scale with how many images you describe each month.

Where are my images stored?

On encrypted Cloudflare storage, kept per workspace. You control retention, and cancelling removes your files after a short grace period.
