No. Altly is a hosted app at altly.phpdoesntexist.com. You upload images there and sync the finished alt text into your WordPress site, so there is nothing heavy running on your server.

Each image is described by Claude, tuned to write concise, WCAG 2.2 AA alt text. You review and can edit or regenerate anything before it is used.
